Biogas plant with 54,000 tonnes of residues per year

The plant, built on the basis of a research project, is the result of a cooperation between 53 farmers. The biomethane produced is fed into the natural gas distribution network.

The plant is fed with more than 54,000 tonnes of residues (1,618 tonnes of green waste | 26,383 tonnes of solid manure| 25,284 tonnes of liquid manure and 1,000 tonnes of rainwater) per year.
In order to keep smell emissions as low as possible, a building was constructed for the reception and material management of the residues.
The plant was designed by Naskeo Environnement from France and is equipped with SUMA agitators. The installed agitators homogenise the substrate to achieve the highest possible gas yield. Six OPTIMIX 2G 150-275 submersible mixers with guide masts and six GIANTMIX FT rod mixers are in operation at the plant.
A total of 160 Nm3 of methane is produced per hour.

In addition to the biogas produced, 80% of the digestate is distributed on the agricultural land. The remaining 20% is used to produce green manure.
