Scraper

The scraper or scraper plate prevents foreign matter from wrapping around the agitator blade. The distance between the scraper and the edge of the agitator blade must not exceed 3 mm. Fibres and other solids will otherwise cling to the edge of the agitator blade and cause an imbalance. 
As a result, the PTC or the motor protection switch may switch off the motor due to overheating or overcurrent, or the agitator may vibrate strongly and cause mechanical damage.
